On arrival to Jamaica, Shiplynx will present your packages to Customs for clearance.

Step 4. Get your packages

Once your packages are successfully cleared, we’ll have them processed and you’ll receive a notification that they’re ready for pickup/delivery.
You may then pickup your package free of cost or schedule a delivery to have your package delivered right to your door at an additional cost.

Frequently Asked Questions

Once your package is delivered to our Florida warehouse and processed to your dashboard, it will be prepared for shipment. Air shipped packages are typically available for collection in Jamaica within 24–48 hours after processing at our Florida warehouse.

Here's a more concise and professional version:

Invoices are required for all packages entering Jamaica, as they are used to declare the contents and value of shipments to Jamaica Customs. Failure to provide an invoice may result in Customs clearance delays and could lead to a Customs Officer assigning a higher value to your package.

To meet Jamaica Customs requirements, all invoices must be legible, issued by the supplier, itemized with the cost of each item, and include the supplier's and purchaser's names, address details, and tracking information.

Invoices are also required for gifts, used items, and shipments not purchased directly from an e-commerce vendor.

Packages submitted without a valid or complete invoice will remain uncleared until the required documentation is provided. Once a package is left uncleared, an administrative fee of JMD $1,000 per trip will apply for the additional processing and clearance services required.

Customers are allowed up to 14 calendar days to collect their packages. After this period, storage fees will apply at a rate of JMD $200 per day for small packages and JMD $350 per day for large boxes.

Packages that remain uncollected or unclaimed for more than 30 days may be subject to auction to recover outstanding freight, storage, customs, and other related charges incurred in clearing and handling the shipment.

Yes. You will receive notifications via email and/or our mobile app at each stage of your package's journey. Updates will be sent when your package:

• Arrives at our Florida warehouse
• Is processed and en route to Jamaica
• Arrives in Jamaica
• Is available for pickup or delivery

You will also be notified if your package is placed on hold, at Customs, or requires additional information for clearance.

Packages with weights not listed on the rate sheet will be charged the next rate up. Example: A package weighing 1.4lbs will be rounded to 2lbs

Shipments with a declared invoice value exceeding USD $100 may be subject to Customs duties and other applicable fees. If the total value of your package, including shipping costs, exceeds this threshold, Jamaica Customs may assess duties and taxes based on the nature and value of the goods being imported.

Yes, we offer delivery services directly to your location. Delivery fees are determined based on the delivery address provided.

To request a delivery, log in to your account and select "Delivery Requests." From there, choose the package(s) you would like delivered and provide your preferred delivery address.

Unfortunately, we do not ship items from Jamaica so we are unable to provide return shipping at this time. You could consider using Fedex or a similar courier service to have your items returned to the US.

All packages entering Jamaica are subject to inspection by Jamaica Customs. During this process, a Customs Officer may open the package to verify that its contents correspond with the accompanying invoice and declaration. Once the inspection is complete, the package will be resealed using tape before being released for onward processing.

If your retailer's tracking shows that your package has been delivered, please allow up to 24 business hours for it to be processed and posted to your account.

Our warehouse receives and processes hundreds of packages daily, and shipments are handled in the order they are received. As a result, packages may not always be posted to customer accounts on the same day they arrive.

If your package has not been updated to your account after 24 business hours, please contact us immediately and provide the tracking number so that we can investigate. We also recommend verifying the shipping address used on your order to ensure that your courier code, mailbox number, and address details were entered correctly.

Yes, there are several groups of products that are either prohibited or restricted for importation. Please note it is the purchaser's responsibility to familiarize his or herself with the most recent Customs Regulations as it relates to policies, procedures, import requirements and restrictions. No, a processing fee is not applied on each package. However, there is a handling fee that will be applied to packages 15lbs and more.

Upon registering for an account, you will be assigned a unique mailbox number along with our courier code (e.g., SPLY12345). This information is included in your welcome email and can also be found within your customer dashboard.

It is extremely important that both the courier code (SPLY) and your assigned mailbox number are included on all shipments. If either is omitted by you or the merchant/shipping carrier, the package may be placed in our "Unknown Packages" section, as warehouse staff may be unable to identify the rightful owner. Since multiple courier companies utilize the same warehouse facility, packages without proper identification cannot be readily assigned.

Packages placed in "Unknown" will experience processing delays and will automatically incur an unknown package fee of JMD $500 per package (subject to change without notice).

To help prevent this, we strongly recommend that you:
• Include "SPLY" alongside your last name when placing orders.
• Enter your courier code and mailbox number in Address Line 2 whenever possible.

Please note that the warehouse reserves the right to refuse, return, or discard packages delivered with incomplete, incorrect, or invalid address information.

If your package is missing the courier code (e.g., SPLY) and/or your assigned mailbox number, an investigation will be required to locate it. To initiate this process, you must provide:
• Proof of delivery
• Complete tracking number
• Name listed on the package
• Date the package was delivered

Once the required information is received and the package is successfully located, processing for shipment may take approximately 3–7 business days.

Please also be advised that any package remaining unclaimed in the "Unknown Packages" section for more than 30 calendar days may be discarded by the warehouse. In such cases, the package may no longer be recoverable, and we will not be liable for any resulting loss.

We do not accept packages that are shipped without the registered name and correct mailbox number for security reasons. Signing up for our service is completely free so we encourage everyone to create their own accounts to receive their own mailbox number. The mailbox number you receive upon sign up should be kept confidential. All packages must match the registered name, and a valid government ID which is required upon pickup. Please note that failure to register and use our own shipping address or to utilize use someone else's mailbox number will result in a penalty/administrative fee of JMD $1,500 (subject to change at any time).

All same-day delivery requests must be submitted by 12:00 PM, unless an earlier cut-off time is communicated in advance. Requests received after the cut-off time will be scheduled for the next business day.

Once a delivery request has been processed, our driver will contact you prior to arrival to advise that your package is en route. If the driver is unable to reach you upon arrival, a grace period of five (5) minutes will be provided along with two (2) courtesy calls. If there is no response after the waiting period and courtesy calls have been exhausted, the driver will proceed to the next delivery.

The delivery will then need to be rescheduled for another business day at your convenience, and an additional delivery fee will apply. Please note that if you choose to collect your package from our office after a missed delivery attempt, the original delivery charge will still remain payable.

For the safety of our staff, drivers will not enter areas deemed volatile or unsafe. In such cases, a mutually agreed central meeting point will be arranged for package handover.

⚠️ Please note that televisions and other fragile items are shipped at the customer's own risk. As part of our warehouse policy, we do not routinely inspect televisions upon arrival. As a result, we may be unable to determine whether any damage occurred before, during, or after transit by the carrier.

For customers seeking additional protection, we offer optional TV inspection and protective wrapping services at an additional cost. These services can help identify visible damage upon arrival and provide extra protection during handling and transportation.

Yes, you may authorize another individual to collect your package(s) on your behalf. To do so, the account holder must send us a WhatsApp message providing the full name of the authorized individual and granting permission for the package(s) to be released to that person.

The authorized individual must present a valid government-issued photo ID at the time of collection.

For added convenience, you may also designate an Authorized User on your account through the Profile section of your dashboard or by visiting: https://shiplyja.com/profile.

We currently accept cash and debit card payments for package collection and delivery. We also accept direct bank transfers through NCB and BNS. However, cross-bank transfers (e.g., transferring from a BNS account to our NCB account, or vice versa) are not recommended, as they may delay payment verification and will incur an additional charge.

If you choose to pay via bank transfer, please submit your transfer receipt before collection or delivery to allow sufficient time for payment verification. Packages will not be released or dispatched until payment has been verified and all outstanding charges on your account have been fully settled.
