Step 3. Arrival Notification

Once your packages are delivered to our Florida warehouse and processed you will receive a notification via email or our mobile app.
Each package will be entered into our database in order to give you timely location updates.
On arrival to Jamaica, Shiplynx will present your packages to Customs for clearance.

Step 4. Get your packages

Once your packages are successfully cleared, we’ll have them processed and you’ll receive a notification that they’re ready for pickup/delivery.
You may then pickup your package free of cost or schedule a delivery to have your package delivered right to your door at an additional cost.

Frequently Asked Questions

After your package is delivered to our warehouse in Florida and processed to your dashboard, packages sent by sea usually takes 7-10 days to arrive in Jamaica. Packages shipped via air are usually made available 24-48 hours after they are processed by our warehouse in Florida.

Yes. Invoices have to be used to declare to Jamaica Customs the content and value of each package entering the island. If invoices are not provided, this will result in delays at Customs and there is the possibility that the customs officer inspecting the shipment will assign a higher value to your package. Jamaica Customs requires invoices for all packages being imported into Jamaica to determine the value and whether Customs duty charges apply. All invoices must be legible, from the supplier, itemized with the item's cost, and include the supplier's and the buyer's name, tracking information and address details. Gifts, used goods, and shipments that are not coming directly from an e-commerce vendor also require invoices to clear Customs. Failure to submit an invoice or complete invoice will lead to the package being left uncleared until an invoice or completed invoice is provided. Once a package is left uncleared there will be an administrative fee of $1000jmd per trip for additional services provided.

You are given 14 days to collect your package to avoid a storage fee of $200 JMD per day for small packages and $350 JMD per day for large boxes. If your package exceeds 30 days uncollected/unclaimed it is subjected to being auctioned to recover loss from expense of freight and other local charges to clear package(s).

Yes. You will be updated via email or our mobile app when your package arrives at our facility in Florida, when it is enroute to Jamaica, when it arrives in Jamaica and lastly when your package is available for pick up/ delivery. You will also be notified if your package has been detained or on hold.

Packages with weights not listed on the rate sheet will be charged the next rate up. Example: A package weighing 1.4lbs will be rounded to 2lbs

Please note that your package will be placed in unknown if your mailbox number (eg. SPLY1234) was not added upon purchasing or if the shipper did not include it on the shipping label which will result in your package being delayed. In order for your package to be requested from unknown Shiplynx must be provided with the complete tracking number to forward to the warehouse for verification purposes to have it processed to your dashboard.Once tracking information is provided to the warehouse it can take up to 5 days to be processed for shipment on the next shipment cycle.

Shipments with an invoice value of $100 USD and over are eligible to be charged customs duties. This means that if the total cost of your package, including any shipping costs, exceeds this amount, you may be charged customs duties

Yes, If you would like for us to deliver directly to you that will incur a cost based on your location.To schedule a delivery, log into your account and click “Delivery Requests” thereafter you will select the packages you would like to have delivered and also provide the location in which you would like your packages delivered. Cash on delivery is accepted

Unfortunately, we do not ship items from Jamaica so we are unable to provide return shipping at this time. You could consider using Fedex or a similar courier service to have your items returned to the US.

All packages coming through Jamaica Customs are subjected to being opened and inspected by a customs officer to verify that the invoice matches the contents of the package. They are then resealed using cello tape.

When your package shows “delivered” from your retailer, please allow up to 24 business hours for it to be posted to your account.Our warehouse processes packages in the order that they are received and because we receive hundreds of packages per day we aren’t always able to post all packages to their respective accounts on the same day.
However, if in any case it has not been updated after 24 business hours please reach out to us urgently with the tracking # for your package so that we can investigate (Please also take this time to verify your shipping address on your order in the event of any errors made).

Yes, there are several groups of products that are either prohibited or restricted for importation. Please note it is the purchaser's responsibility to familiarize his or herself with the most recent Customs Regulations as it relates to policies, procedures, import requirements and restrictions. No, a processing fee is not applied on each package. However, there is a handling fee that will be applied to packages 15lbs and more.

Upon creating an account with us, you are provided a personalized mailbox number with our courier code (eg. SPLY12345), which is sent in our welcome email and can also be found once you log into your customer dashboard. Please note that if you place an order and our courier code (SPLY) or your mailbox number is left off or if the shipper/merchant left it off the shipping label it will be placed in unknown as our warehouse representatives would not be able to readily identify that the package belongs to you, as more than one courier utilizes the warehouse. Once your package is placed in unknown it will result in delays and a fee of $500 per package is automatically charged (subject to change at any time). To prevent this, please ensure you add SPLY beside your last name at all times as well as include it in address line 2. The warehouse reserves the right to refuse or discard any package delivered with an incorrect, incomplete, or wrong address. If your package is missing the courier code (e.g., SPLY) and the corresponding assigned mailbox number, we must conduct an investigation to attempt to locate it. To begin this process, you must provide: • Proof of delivery • Complete tracking number • Name on the package • Date allegedly delivered. Once information is submitted and package is located, it can take approximately 5-7 business days to be processed for shipping. Please note that if your package has been unclaimed from unknown for more than 30 calendar days it is subjected to being discarded by our warehouse and as such, we will not be able to retrieve it or accept liability.

We do not accept packages that are shipped without the registered name and correct mailbox number for security reasons. Signing up for our service is completely free so we encourage everyone to create their own accounts to receive their own mailbox number. The mailbox number you receive upon sign up should be kept confidential. All packages must match the registered name, and a valid government ID which is required upon pickup. Please note that failure to register and use our own shipping address or to utilize use someone else's mailbox number will result in a penalty/administrative fee of JMD $1,500 (subject to change at any time).

All same day delivery requests must be made by 1:00pm (unless prior notice is provided of an earlier time), any requests made after the stipulated time will be scheduled for the following business day. Once delivery is requested, our drivers will make contact prior to advise when your package is en-route to your delivery address, if upon arrival our drivers are unable to get through to you a 5 minute wait time is extended as well as two (2) courtesy calls, once courtesy calls and time has been exhausted our drivers will leave. Delivery will then be rescheduled to another business day more convenient to you which will also incur an additional delivery fee. Please also be advised that our drivers will not enter into any volatile or unsafe communities as such a central meeting point will be advised.

Please note that when shipping TVs and other fragile items, you do so at your own risk ⛔️. We have a policy in our warehouse where we do not inspect televisions, making it difficult for us to verify if any damage occurred during transit by the carrier. However, we do provide a special wrapping service and inspection for TVs upon request, available at an extra cost. Feel free to reach out for more information.

Yes, you can authorize someone to collect your package(s) on your behalf. To do so, the account holder must either send us a WhatsApp with the individuals name and authorize us to release the package(s) to the person, in addition the person collecting the package(s) on your behalf should also provide a valid government ID in order to collect. An authorization request can also be made via email.

We currently accept cash or debit cards on delivery or pick up, we also accept direct bank transfers via NCB or BNS (cross banking is not advised ie. Transferring from BNS to our NCB account and vice versa). Please note that if you are doing a bank transfer, please forward your transfer receipt prior to collection/delivery for verification to be completed. Packages will not be released until full amount on your account has been settled.
